Suncoast Gold Macadamia New Technology and Improvements
- Electronic colour sorter (Satake model Japan) installed. This technology has increased our efficiencies and enabled production of a very high standard premium kernel.
- Replaced the conventional packaging machine with new chamber packaging machines which achieve very low residual oxygen in packs, e.g. less than 1%, maintaining the kernel freshness taste and crunchy texture for long shelf life.
- Installed new composite canning machine and Doy packaging machine for stand up pouches with gas flushing capability to achieve very low residual oxygen level and maintain kernel sensory qualities.
- State of the art storage facility with efficient refrigeration system at standard temperatures and relative humidity and automatic pest control system.
- Installed efficient dust removal system to reduce the shell dust on kernel and improve the appearance of product.
- Developed a steam treatment system to enhance the product's food safety, ensure the health of the customers is not compromised and the sensory qualities of the kernel are maintained.
- Company commitment to continual training of staff in quality, food safety, management and process control.
- Improvement of the processing premises and cleaning equipment to ensure continual maintenance of the good manufacturing practices.
